3. General
You can generally use our website without providing personal data. Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (Art. 4(1) GDPR). We only process personal data to the extent necessary to provide the website, to handle your enquiries or to fulfil legal obligations. The terms used are based on Art. 4 GDPR.
4. Provision of the website and server log files
Each time our website is accessed, our hosting provider’s server automatically records information transmitted by your browser: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, pages accessed, date and time of access, IP address and amount of data transferred. This data is not merged with other data sources and is not analysed to identify individual visitors.
The processing serves the technically error-free delivery and display of the website and the security of our systems, for example to prevent and investigate attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and stable operation of the website. The log files are automatically deleted after a short time unless they are needed to investigate a specific security incident.
5. Hosting
Our website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. The hosting provider processes the data mentioned in section 4 on our behalf on servers in Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with the provider.
6. No cookies, no analytics or tracking services
Our website does not set cookies and does not use any analytics, tracking or advertising services. Fonts, images, videos and documents are loaded exclusively from our own server; no third-party content such as Google Fonts, video platforms or social networks is embedded. A consent request (“cookie banner”) is therefore not required.
7. Contact by e-mail, phone and contact form
If you contact us by e-mail, phone or fax, we process the data you provide (for example name, company, e-mail address, phone number, content of the enquiry and attached documents) to handle your enquiry and for possible follow-up questions. The contact form on our website does not transmit any data to our server, but opens your own e-mail program; the data is then transmitted as a normal e-mail.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR insofar as your enquiry is aimed at the conclusion or performance of a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in answering enquiries. Data is not passed on to third parties unless this is necessary to handle your request and you have been informed of this beforehand. We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required for processing and no statutory retention obligations apply.
8. Downloads
Data sheets and documentation can be downloaded without providing personal data. Only the server log files described in section 4 are generated.
9. Storage period
We only store personal data for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose. If data is subject to statutory retention obligations, in particular under commercial and tax law (Section 257 HGB, Section 147 AO), it is stored for the duration of these periods and then deleted.
10. Your rights
You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process your data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
An informal message to the contact details above is sufficient to exercise your rights.
11. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is: Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen (State Commissioner for Data Protection of Lower Saxony), Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.
12. Obligation to provide data, automated decision-making
You are not obliged by law or contract to provide us with personal data. Without contact details, however, we cannot answer your enquiry. Automated decision-making including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR) does not take place.
13. Data security and updates
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. Data transmission over the internet, in particular by unencrypted e-mail, may have security gaps; you can therefore also send us confidential documents by other means, for example after agreeing this by phone. We will adapt this privacy policy as soon as our website or the legal situation changes. Last updated: October 2026.
